Nová synagoga

Welcome to our congregation

We are open to all those who are searching for the meaning of life, asking questions of a spiritual nature, and who need help from others or want to help themselves.

The mission of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church is to proclaim and spread the Gospel - the joyful message of God's faithful love in Jesus Christ and its reign (the Kingdom of God). This love of God was supremely manifested in the redemptive sacrifice of Christ on the cross.

Our emblem is the cup of Christ in conjunction with the cross. For the cup expresses the love of Christ sacrificing himself on the cross for all.

In spite of our imperfections, we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ and to His people. As the Church of Christ, we strive to live the values of the Kingdom of God, which are justice, peace and joy. These Jesus brought to humanity and with him they enter into our presence.

In the communion of the Word of God and the Lord's Table with Christians from two or more different denominations, an ecumenical service is celebrated.

The Czechoslovak Hussite Church has retained seven sacraments from tradition - baptism, confirmation, penance (confession), the Lord's Supper, marriage, consolation of the sick and priestly ordination.
